Modern VMFA Bridal Portrait Session

We are so in love with this Modern VMFA Bridal Portrait Session. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, in Richmond, Virginia, was the perfect location for Emily’s Bridal Portrait Session. It was also the location of Emily and David’s Wedding that took place on October 21st. Emily wanted a modern backdrop for her bridal portraits and the VMFA definitely delivered.

Emily’s vision included using backgrounds with the modern look of Frank Lloyd Wright and the current VMFA Exhibit of Yves Saint Laurent. An art museum is total eye candy for Jamie, so he was thrilled to bring Emily’s dreams to life. Bridal Portraits can be extremely personal and meaningful. So when a client has a vision we do everything we can to make it happen.

The sleek sophistication of Emily’s dress matched perfectly with the location that she chose. Her gorgeous dress was purchased at Bridals by Lori (of “Say Yes to the Dress”) in Atlanta, Georgia. Mallory of Lou Stevens Glam Squad finished off the modern look with the perfect hair and make-up. It truly makes our heart sing when everything comes perfectly together, as it did for Emily’s session.

Each of our clients decides to do bridal portraits for different reasons. However, almost all of our brides make the decision to display their portrait at the wedding. Emily wanted to ensure that this display continued the modern feel of her session. She chose a large, chrome Restoration Hardware artist easel with an amazing modern silver frame to finish off the piece. This combination perfectly displayed her portrait on Emily and David’s special day.

We hope you enjoy the beauty of the images from Emily’s modern bridal portrait session below. Also, stay tuned for the images from her and David’s big day!
