Maymont Park Engagement Session

Alicia and Andrew’s Maymont Park Engagement Session was perfection. The weather was unseasonably warm but we were happy with the beautiful sunshine and Maymont is the perfect backdrop. Situated in the city of Richmond, Maymont is truly one of the city’s little treasures. The trees, flowers, foliage, and landscaping is always beautiful which makes it a great place for an outdoor portrait session.

This was also a very special location for Alicia and Andrew because he proposed in the Japanese Gardens at the park. We maneuvered our way around the park and eventually ended up in the gardens at the grotto where he popped the question. They changed outfits with each new location but the process was quick and painless. They were open to trying different poses and we got lots of different expressions from both Alicia and Andrew.

The flowers were full of color and their outfits coordinated perfectly with the scenery. Jamie’s favorite moment was when the couple sat by the river and she put her toes in the water with his arms around her. They ended the day where their new lives officially began, with a kiss just outside the grotto. All in all, it was a perfect day to begin a perfect life.
