Classic Richmond Wedding | Catherine + Sean

We are excited to finally share Catherine + Sean’s Classic Richmond Wedding with you. They were married on November 11th at Saint Bridget Catholic Church in Richmond, Virginia. Following their ceremony, the guests celebrated with the couple at the reception help at Richmond Country Club. The couple was totally laid back and enjoyed every moment of their special day.

We began the day photographing the wedding party getting ready. Both the girls and the boys enjoyed some time together as they prepared for the wedding. Even during this part of the day, Catherine and Sean were calm and simply enjoyed this time with their closest friends and family.

They had a traditional church wedding, where one of the most special moments of the day happened. During the ceremony, Sean took a few moments to include McKenna, Catherine’s daughter, in the service. He called her over and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him as well. He even presented her with her own special ring. There was literally not a dry eye in the building.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered at Richmond Country Club to celebrate this special couple. Everyone had such a great time. The wedding party made their grand entrance in football jerseys. And the bride and groom included the maid of honor and best man in the cake cutting (or should we say smashing) part of the evening – see pics below. Apparently, Catherine is known as quite the prankster.

All in all, it is was a wonderful day to celebrate the marriage of Catherine and Sean.

This was one of the most special moments of the entire day. Sean included Catherine’s daughter, McKenna in the wedding. He stopped and took a moment to ask her to marry him too and he gave her, her our special ring. There was not a dry eye in the church.
