Spring Family Portrait Session

As affiliate international jurors for Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Mary and Jamie get to see and evaluate some of the most amazing photographs in the world. These monthly image competitions give us inspiration for future portrait sessions. One of these inspirations led us to create a holiday portrait that did not have a traditional Christmas vibe but allowed the color red to dominate.

Immediately Scarlett came into mind for this photo shoot. Her welcome into this world was a wonderful story, one that we will never forget, as love always wins!  It’s now been a few years since we had seen Scarlett and wow has she grown. We knew that she would look adorable in this scarlet red Strasburg dress that we had photographed before.

Scarlett and her parents were so much fun to photograph. Her giggles and belly laughs were pure magic in front of the camera. We began the session in the outfits everyone wore in the studio, utilizing the golden rays of sunlight streaming into the garden in the afternoon sun. Then we moved on to the gazebo. Following these initial shots, Scarlett did an outfit change so we could create our inspiration shots. As soon as we saw her in the red dress, we knew we were about to create something special. Scarlett’s long curls and bright blue eyes were such a perfect contrast to the deep crimson-red dress. The rest of the session went flawlessly as we captured both formal poses and candid snapshots of her dynamic personality.

if you are ready to craft these enduring memories for your family, we invite you to reach out to us today. There's no better time than now to gift portraits that will infuse joy and cherishable moments into your family's story for years to come.
