Engagement in Libby Hill Park

Capturing this exhilarating moment in the Glancy family's journey feels like coming full circle for us at Hayes & Fisk Photography. From photographing Braeden as a baby to witnessing her fall in love and start a new chapter in her life, it's truly a joyous occasion—one we hope to continue documenting for years to come.

When Braeden’s mom, Keyser, called to share the engagement news, we were thrilled for both families. Watching one of the Glancy babies we photographed grow into wedding age seems surreal, considering the countless milestones we've had the honor of capturing along the way. Little did we know all those years ago that we'd be here today.

Collaborating with Bailey to bring her proposal vision to life was a privilege. From planning every detail of the surprise proposal at Libby Hill Park in Richmond, Virginia to orchestrating a heartfelt surprise party at The Quirk Hotel, we were there every step of the way. After we arrived at the park, we hid in the bushes, waiting for both of them to arrive, choosing a location to backlight them in the warm glow of the rising sun. Bailey had arranged for an amazing spread of food and champagne along with a very special bottle of wine which they had been saving for a monumental occasion. Seeing the look of surprise and joy on Braeden’s face as Bailey proposed, followed by the embrace of both families, who had also been hiding off to this side, was incredibly rewarding. Even their dog made an appearance for some adorable portraits in the park before joining them for brunch.

The culmination of the day at The Quirk Hotel, surrounded by loved ones, was nothing short of magical. Braeden's genuine happiness and the warmth of the celebrations made it a night to remember.

As we reminisced and laughed into the night, we couldn't help but feel grateful to be a part of such a beautiful beginning. Here's to capturing many more cherished memories in the years to come!
