Portrait Session in South Carolina

Time flies, and it feels like just yesterday when we documented Vander’s 18-month session in our garden. Now, at 5 years old, he continues to impress us with his vibrant personality.

For this milestone, traveled to Florence, South Carolina—a location that perfectly encapsulated the significance of this moment. Our research led us to a charming park near their home, where warm weather and mild conditions set the stage for a memorable session.

Working closely with Germina, we helped her select stylish outfits that not only complemented their complexions but also reflected their home’s style and decor. Zoom calls allowed us to discuss every detail, from fabric textures to color palettes. And when we saw Vander in that little leather jacket, we knew this was going to be a great session.

We began by a magnificent old tree—a textured backdrop that perfectly complemented the cozy sweaters, jeans, and boots we had carefully selected. Vander’s giggles and spirited expressions kept us smiling behind the cameras.

As we continued through the session, we moved deeper into the park. The old bridge and babbling brook provided perfect settings for our final vision. The background trees, winding creek, and exposed rocks gave us the mood and emotion we were looking for. Vander effortlessly transitioned from playful to serious poses.

At the bridge, Vander kicked it into high gear. Lens compression allowed us to capture depth and dimension, resulting in priceless images. The play of light, shadows, and Vander’s genuine expressions were everything we envisioned.

Crossing the river, we found a tree adorned with iconic Spanish moss. Its branches dripped with history and whispered tales of the South. It was the perfect representation of South Carolina.

Vander’s portrait will proudly grace their home—a timeless reminder of this remarkable journey. Thank you for trusting us to capture these precious moments.
